Therapy for chronic illness, chronic pain, and medical trauma

Living with chronic illness or chronic pain is exhausting, and the medical system can add its own wounds. You deserve support that takes both seriously.

Maybe you've been dismissed or not believed by doctors. Maybe a hospital stay, surgery, or frightening diagnosis still replays in your mind. You might dread appointments, grieve the life you planned, or feel like no one sees how hard you work just to get through the day.

What I help with

  • Medical trauma and medical PTSD after hospital stays, ICU, surgery, or difficult care
  • Chronic pain, fatigue, and flare-ups
  • Invisible illness and being doubted by doctors, family, or employers
  • A new or recent diagnosis
  • Health anxiety and appointment dread
  • Grief over health changes and the life you expected
  • Autoimmune conditions, long COVID, POTS, fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, EDS, IBD, cancer, HIV, and more

How I work

ACT helps you live well alongside pain and uncertainty. CPT and CBT help untangle fear and self-blame after hard medical experiences. Somatic and mindfulness skills help calm a body that has learned to stay on guard.

Sessions are paced around your energy. Video means no driving or waiting rooms. We can work from bed or the couch, take breaks, and reschedule around flare-ups and appointments.
